
(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Light Opera of New Jersey continues its 26th Season of operetta and musical theatre with a production of Tony award-winning In the Heights at South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC). Based on a book by Quiara Alegria Hudes, this is Lin-Manuel Miranda’s smash hit musical. Performances take place July 15-17 and July 22-24, 2022.
The scent of warm coffee hangs in the air of a bodega whose owner hopes, imagines and sings about a better life. The lively score features hip hop, salsa, merengue and soul music in a theatrical experience as vibrant as Washington Heights itself!
Jeffrey Fiorello directs the production with musical direction by Gonzalo Valencia and choreography by Hector Andres. Jason Tramm is the Producer. Jeffrey Fiorello is Stage Director. In The Heights has music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book: by Quiara Alegria Hudes.
Performances take place July 15, 16, 22, 23, 2022 at 8:00pm and July 17, 24, 2022 at 2:00pm. Ticket prices range from $28-$58. Tickets are available for purchase online. South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) is located at One SOPAC Way in South Orange, New Jersey.
