(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- The Holmdel Theatre Company presents a staged reading of Dead Air on Monday, January 5, 2026 to kick off the new year. The production is written and directed by Evan Noone. Showtime is 7:00pm.
The play takes place in 1989 when a catastrophe that threatens to wipe the small town of Pine River, Washington off the map. Local radio host Casey Green, his sound operator Heather, and their station manager Keith, must survive the night and help others who call in to do the same.
As the danger escalates, the questions pile up: Why have Pine River’s residents suddenly turned into a violent mob? Why are only a handful of people seemingly unaffected? Is there a way to undo what has happened? It’ll be a long night, but if the staff of KWPR 99.4 The Wave can’t solve the mystery of Pine River’s hysteria, it will certainly be their last.
The cast includes Niko Lento. (Casey Green), Gail Cevallos (Heather Timmons), Jason Monto (Keith Baker), Steve Cusimano (Trevor Hillman), Leah Gaidos (Francesca Miller), Maggie Capone (Sheriff Dana Matthews), and Ethan Smith (Michael Carson & Prank Caller). Sam Franz will read the stage directions.
