(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- The Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) presents Richard Skipper Celebrates Sixty Years of Hello, Dolly! — an extraordinary evening of music, memories, and magic — on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 8:00pm. This one-night-only performance marks a milestone in musical theatre history, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the beloved Broadway classic Hello, Dolly! with an unforgettable tribute by the internationally acclaimed performer and historian Richard Skipper. The evening is directed by James Beaman and Musically Directed by Dan Pardo.

Richard Skipper is an internationally celebrated entertainer, theatre historian, and producer with decades of experience in the world of cabaret and musical theatre. Known for his acclaimed tributes to legendary performers like Carol Channing, Richard brings the stories, music, and history of Broadway to life with a blend of humor, heart, and expert knowledge.

With his infectious energy, deep knowledge, and passion for theatre, Skipper will take the audience on a journey through the legacy of Hello, Dolly! — from its groundbreaking debut in 1964 to its impact on generations of theatre lovers around the world. Featuring iconic songs, backstage stories, and personal anecdotes, this celebration will highlight the timelessness of the production and the remarkable figures who brought it to life, including Carol Channing, Ethel Merman, and Jerry Herman.

The one-night only play reading will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 7:00pm at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues). (CRANFORD, NJ) -- The Theater Project will launch its 2025 New Play Readings series on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Cranford Community Center's 110-seat theater. Admission is free, with no registration required. The first play is Stephanie Griffin's Define Good, which draws its inspiration from the incendiary days of groups like the Weather Underground, whose violent tactics represented the dark side of the anti-Vietnam War movement. The event begins at 2:00pm.
