Gibbypalooza 2022: A 40 year retrospective of the local music scene

(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Gibbypalooza is back to rock the scene on the weekend of October 6-8 at Finnegan’s Pub, 734 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ. The three-night event features over 20 performers celebrating the best of 40 years of music in Hoboken and beyond.  Some of Hoboken’s music legends, and some of its rising stars, will be sharing the stage at Gibbypalooza 2022.

“When you see all the talent that exists in just Hoboken alone, one of the toughest tasks I always have with organizing these shows is how many of these amazing artist can I fit onto the bill, let alone the stage,” said co-founder Chris “Gibby” Gibson. “In the end, I always end up kicking myself for missing someone or not having the room for them. I can only hope they're not too mad at me, and that they'll immediately be in mind for next big event as a make-up for my miss.”

The first show of Gibbypalooza 2022 will be held on Thursday, October 6, showcasing acoustic and electric stages featuring Kevin December, Eoin The Mighty, Exit 99, Lloyd United, and Barbiana Complex. Gibby himself will be on hand to MC opening night.

Friday, October 7 will be featuring Crewman Number Six, Jim Testa, The Handsome Devils, Paul Crane, Sodium Sky, Kristen Elizabeth and Ribs, and the return of Ed Smith & The Ego. Jim Testa MCs.

Closing night, October 8, features Our Marvelous Lives, Dave Calamoneri, New Day Dawn (reunion), Dave Entwistle and Marty Lowe, Eugene (reunion), The Blue Necks, High Speed Chase, and closing out will be Leo Main and The Merry Band doing Rock N’ Roll Karaoke.
