(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Fabric, frames and film props walk into an art space. The punchline? Possibility. On February 1, 2026, ARTS 14C invites artists, educators and creatives to step into Art Pantry 14C, a new, free initiative built on creative reuse, surprise, and shared abundance.
From 1:00pm–5:00pm, ARTS 14C will open its doors for an afternoon of exploration and inspiration. The Art Pantry is stocked with donated materials from film, television, and creative companies - including Netflix productions and Project Runway - and everything is available free of charge.
This is not a neatly curated supply closet. It’s a creative treasure trove.
Visitors can expect the essentials - picture frames, paper goods, paint, and fabric - plus unexpected oddball extras like a surfboard, golf clubs, and antique office machines. These materials have already had a starring role on film sets and runways. Now they’re ready for a new one: as raw material for the arts community’s imagination.
“Every arts administrator dreams of creating their own version of NYC’s Materials for the Arts - an engine of reuse and access that puts free, high-quality materials directly into the hands of artists,” said Robinson Holloway, CEO and Founder of ARTS 14C. “Our 125,000-square-foot home already powers an artist incubator and residency program. Art Pantry 14C is the next step: opening our doors wider and turning surplus from film sets and fashion into community resources that spark new work.”
Art Pantry 14C reflects ARTS 14C’s belief that art is essential civic infrastructure, not a luxury. By redistributing high-quality materials that might otherwise go unused, the initiative lowers barriers, encourages experimentation, and invites artists at every stage to make something bold, strange, practical, or joyful.
There’s no application, just a $5 entry fee and an open invitation to take what you can truly use and let the materials lead the way.
How it works
