(MARGATE, NJ) -- Fool Moon Theatre Company presents the hilarious romantic comedy Almost, Maine on September 30 and October 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 at the Margate Community Church. This is a charming, laugh-out loud romantic comedy that tells funny and poignant love stories during one special winter night in Almost, Maine, a magical place, so far north that its almost not in the United States. As the Northern Lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways.

“This is an amazing show,” said director Kate Read (Northfield). “It is knockabout funny, incredibly wise, and heartbreaking all within minutes.” Ms. Read, a Fool Moon Theatre board member, had leading roles in the previous 2022 shows, Proof and Godspell. “And the whole cast is truly amazing,” she added.

The show features Andrew Ireland (Vineland), Hillary Poetsch (Ventnor), Charles "Chick" Leiby (Brigantine), Meghan Albanese (Northfield), Joseph Chialastri (Margate), Christina Luthke (Mays Landing), Pamela Dollack (Ocean City), Kerry Burns (Northfield), Carrie Cohen (Margate), Nick Efstatos (Mays Landing), Victoria Biron (Linwood), Gary Poetsch (Ventnor), and Michael Moore (Galloway).

Show times are 7:30pm Fridays and Saturdays and 3:00pm on Sundays. Ticket prices are $30 regular admission, $25 for seniors, and $20 for children 12 and younger. Advance tickets are on Eventbrite. Cash and check will be accepted for tickets at the door. For group sales, text 609-457-0603.

The New York Daily News called the show, “Sweet, poignant, and witty. Nearly perfect.”
