Elephant & Piggie's "We Are In A Play!" ARRIVES at The Growing Stage

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, New Jersey is thrilled to present the final main stage production of the 2023-2024 season, ELEPHANT & PIGGIE'S "We Are In A Play!" from May 3-19.  Based on the Elephant & Piggie books by Mo Willems, this production has Book & Lyrics by Mo Willems  and Music by Deborah Wicks La Puma.

Get ready for a musical experience, ripped from the pages of Mo Willems’ beloved, award-winning, best-selling children’s books, that will leave audiences doing the “Flippy Floppy Floory” dance all night long! In ELEPHANT & PIGGIE’S “We Are in a Play!”, Gerald and Piggie take to the stage in a rollicking adventure that is perfect for the entire family.

This production is directed by Stephen L. Fredericks, The Growing Stage’s Founder/Executive Director with musical direction by Melinda Bass O’Neill and choreography by Cari Sanchez.

The cast features Tyler Miranda (Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus) of Highland Falls, NY as Gerald; Jeorgi Smith (Ella Enchanted) of Denville, NJ as Piggie; Christina Freeman (Ella Enchanted) of Chester, NJ as Squirrelle; Sydney Matthews (Arthur & Friends) of Denville, NJ  as Squirrelle and Julianna Belles  (Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus) of Morris Plains, NJ as Squirrelle.

Performances take Saturdays at 4:00pm, Sundays at 2:00pm and a special opening night performance on Friday, May 3rd at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at www.growingstage.com or by calling the Box Office at (973) 347-4946. Groups of 10 or more get discounted tickets plus reserved seating.

The Growing Stage-The Children’s Theatre of New Jersey is a non-profit professional performing arts center dedicated to theatre for young audiences. Through their programming they provide opportunities for all to learn and grow through participation in the arts.

Classic American Tales presents "Tales at the Dormer House"

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 12 through October 16, 2025, Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents "Tales at the Dormer House" in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories by American authors. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting. Otherwise, they will be inside. Cost is only $12.00, cash at the door, and guests at The Dormer House and children ages 12 and under are free.

CDC Theatre presents "The Shark Is Broken" - A Behind-the-Scenes Comedy About the Making of a Classic

It has been fifty years since Jaws became a summer blockbuster and now you can dive back into the waters surrounding Amity Island with The Shark Is Broken, a behind the scenes comedy about the making of a classic. CDC Theatre presents the play across two weekends (October 10-12 and October 17-19, 2025).

Starlight Performing Arts presents "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

(LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre is pleased to present the Starlight Performing Arts production of the hilarious and heartwarming musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Performed by Starlight Performing Arts students in grades 8–12, this Tony Award-winning comedy will take the stage on Friday, October 17 at 7:00pm and Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 7:00pm.
