Curate NJ Gallery presents "Glow Up"

originally published: 09/26/2025

Jesus Saves by Peter Rooss

(RARITAN, NJ) -- After a small hiatus, Curate NJ Gallery presents Glow Up from October 4 through December 2025. The gallery had taken a 4-month pause to welcome the birth of a daughter. This is a group show. The featured artists include: Ana Cuadra, Brian W. Fraser, Lisa Rayman Goldfarb, Beth Jarvie, Milton Peabody, Walter Orellana, Peter Rooss, and Rupesh Varghese.

Assembled by owner and main curator Tess Hansen, Glow Up is submitted photography with misty or ethereal lighting. Images of cityscapes and urban spaces by Peter Rooss and Brian W. Fraser are contrasted with images of nature from Beth Jarvie and Lisa Rayman Goldfarb. The works are pulled together by Rupesh Varghese who photographs stars and the space beyond.

“There is always hope.” said Tess “In viewing, the audience should understand - what lies beyond the time right now cannot be seen, but is always hopeful.” Glow up is a show where images bring together all parts of life to express hope beyond. As patrons walk through the gallery, they will see both black and white and color photos.

No Time to Swim by Walter Orellana

Curate NJ is a mural company and art gallery owned by Plainfield, NJ residents Jake and Tess Hansen. It opened in 2023 with the mission of making the world a more beautiful place.
