Community Access Unlimited presents "The SpongeBob Musical" - This Weekend Only!

(ELIZABETH, NJ) -- Community Access Unlimited (CAU) is thrilled to announce its latest production by the CAU Community Players: The SpongeBob Musical! This exciting show will take place this weekend only at Frank J. Cicarell Academy with three performances from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, 2024.

Established in 2011, the CAU Community Players bring together actors of all abilities to experience the magic of theater. Differently abled individuals and their nondisabled peers collaborate for remarkable productions of popular shows. This production of The SpongeBob Musical is a testament to the power of inclusion, teamwork and the joy of live theater.

Join them for a spectacular underwater adventure as SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and the rest of the beloved characters from Bikini Bottom take the stage. The SpongeBob Musical is a family-friendly production that promises to deliver a night of laughter and unforgettable musical numbers.

Starring in The SpongeBob Musical are Gerard Russomanno as SpongeBob SquarePants, Tyler O’Neil as Patrick Star, and Meela Sashi as Sandy Cheeks.

Tickets are available for purchase online. Performances take place Friday, July 19 at 7:00pm; Saturday, July 20 at 7:00pm; and Sunday, July 21 at 1:00pm. The Frank J. Cicarell Academy is located at 40 Morrell Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Free parking is available at the City Hall parking lot, across the street from the school entrance on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Community Access Unlimited (CAU), celebrating 45 years in 2024, supports people with disabilities in achieving full lives in the community. CAU provides support and gives voice to adults and youth who traditionally have little support and no voice in society. CAU helps people with housing, life skills, employment, money management, socialization and civic activities. CAU also supports opportunities for advocacy through training in assertiveness, decision-making and civil rights. CAU currently serves more than 3,000 individuals and families and is continually expanding its services to broaden the scope of its support.
