(LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ) -- Revel in the warmth of the spirit of the season during the Navesink Brass Quintet’s special holiday concert at the Ocean County Library Little Egg Harbor Branch on Wednesday, December 21. It promises to be a memorable evening, marking the ensemble’s 30th anniversary as well as its return to the Branch. Attendees will hear specially-chosen songs that reflect holiday celebrations of many cultures. The concert begins at 6:30pm.
Formed in Red Bank in 1992 and named for the river that flows through the city, the Monmouth County-based NBQ performs a broad spectrum of styles, “from Renaissance to Jazz and Rock,” maintaining its superlative standards with regular, rigorous rehearsals.
The Quintet consists of: Thomas Bender and Marcus Hulse, trumpets; Brian Strohmetz, horn; Daniel Carver, trombone; and Paul J. Eschelbach, tuba.
