originally published: 12/24/2024

(NETCONG, NJ) -- Want to share the New Year's Eve celebration experience with the little ones, but know they can't stay up that late? New Year's Eve arrives a few days early at The Growing Stage with a musical celebration on Saturday, December 28th featuring dancing, sing-alongs and a special countdown to 2025 at NOON! Join them as they welcome Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could for a New Year's Eve Countdown Concert your family will never forget.

Three-time Grammy nominee Brady Rymer has been making infectious, high-energy rock ‘n’ roll music for kids and families for nearly 25 years. As one of the top acts in the independent family music scene today, Brady, alongside the stacked Little Band That Could, light up stages across the world with their musicality, catchy song lyrics, and messages of kindness and positivity.

Venturing into family music when he started his own family in 2000, Brady has since released 12 studio albums, three of which are Grammy-nominated in the Best Children’s Music Album category: 2017’s Press Play, 2014’s Just Say Hi!, and 2009’s Here Comes Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could.

A champion of neurodiversity acceptance, Brady regularly performs sensory-friendly shows for audiences with autism and special needs, including songs from his groundbreaking 2011 album Love Me For Who I Am.

When he’s not playing with the Little Band That Could, Brady plays bass guitar with his “grown-up” jam band From Good Homes, and has toured with acts including Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & the Blowfish, Bob Weir’s Ratdog, and Bob Dylan.

The Mission of The Growing Stage, The Children’s Theatre of NJ is to nurture the development of the performing arts through education — and to create, produce and perform works that engage the entire family. The Growing Stage seeks to be a model of excellence in theatre for young audiences. Therefore, they strive to develop new initiatives through the arts, on both the stage and in the classroom. Above all, they do so to enhance and benefit the lives of our young people.

For instance, the organization will create a professional performing arts center dedicated solely to young people. It will be a resource, in which theatre is the centerpiece. Additionally, it will celebrate the professional artistic disciplines of music, dance, and the visual arts.

In addition, they will encourage the development of new material as well as honor existing works that expand the world for their audiences. Furthermore, they feature works that celebrate diverse art forms, ideas and cultures. With that in mind, they utilize the power of art to open discussion, touch hearts, and question accepted notions. In conclusion, they honor imagination and infuse its power for growth.
