Brookdale Community College Haunted Theater Returns for Its 21st Season with New Thrills and Accolades

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Get ready for the spine-chilling experience of a lifetime as Brookdale Community College's Performing Arts Center presents the 21st Annual Haunted Theater across three weekends (October 11-13, October 18-20, and October 25-27, 2024). Recognized as Best Overall Attraction in New Jersey by NewJerseyHauntedHouses.com, and known as one of the scariest and most immersive Halloween attractions in Monmouth County, New Jersey this season promises to deliver heart-pounding thrills and hair-raising fun.

Last year, the Haunted Theater saw a record-breaking attendance, with over 5,000 brave souls navigating its terrifying mazes. Each year, the haunted house rooms undergo creative transformations, ensuring a fresh and terrifying experience for all visitors. Dare to enter, and you'll find out why Brookdale Haunted Theater remains a beloved Halloween tradition.

This year's title and theme, Haunted Theater 2024: Out of Time!, takes visitors on a horrifying journey through time travel. Expect intricate mazes, pitch-black zones, and haunting special effects that will leave even the bravest souls shaking. Don't miss out on this immersive, rain-or-shine experience, featuring an indoor queue line to keep you in suspense and out of the weather. Food Trucks and concessions will be on sale on-site.

For guests who prefer a less terrifying experience, we offer special Scaredy Cat tours without the scares, perfect for families and the faint of heart. Embark on a thrilling 15-20 minute adventure this Halloween at the Brookdale Haunted Theater, where even the most timid souls can join in the fun! On October 18, the Haunted Theater will feature an electrifying evening with the Rocky Horror Picture Show featuring a Drag Pre-show at 11:00pm and the iconic movie at midnight. Don't forget your prop bags and costumes for a night of laughs, contests, and fun! Prop bags are available for $5, and concessions will be sold on-site.

(MONMOUTH JUNCTION, NJ) -- On Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:00pm, Historian Guy Weston will be presenting Timbuctoo: NJ's Free Black Community Before the Civil War at the South Brunswick Senior Center. Timbuctoo was settled in 1826 by formerly enslaved and free Black people with the assistance of Quakers. Most Timbuctoo residents owned their land, and the community established their own school and an AME Zion Church.
