(BRISTOL, PA) -- Beginning November 1, Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) presents Clue by Sandy Rustin, a staged adaptation based on the popular board game-turned-cult classic film. The show will be performed at BRT’s theater (120 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007), which combines the excitement of a large stage production with the intimacy of a 300-seat theater. Clue, directed by BRT’s Co-Producing Director Ken Kaissar, runs through November 20.

“I’m delighted to direct another BRT show after making my debut last year with the presentation of A Few Good Men,” said Kaissar. “Clue offers audiences a spooky murder-mystery with hilarious dialogue and physical comedy, and is the perfect entertainment to lighten our moods as we head into the holiday season.”

In this hilarious murder mystery, seven guests, under different aliases, are invited to an unusual dinner party on a dark and stormy night at Boddy Manor, only to discover that the host is dead upon their arrival. The zany group of would-be suspects must race to reveal the identity of the murderer before the body count stacks up in this classic whodunnit.

The cast in BRT’s presentation of Clue includes notable actors from the tri-state area, highlighted by Philadelphia favorite and multiple Barrymore Award-winner Ian Merrill Peakes as Wadsworth the Butler.

BRT audiences will recognize some familiar faces among the cast, including Barbara McCulloh (A Comedy of Tenors, Steel Magnolias) as Mrs. Peacock and Carl Wallnau (The Sunshine Boys, Laughter on the 23rd Floor) as Col. Mustard, and Michael Padgett as Professor Plum (A Comedy of Tenors). Rounding out the cast are BRT newcomers Miriam White as Mrs. White, Regine Mont-Louis as Miss Scarlet, Renee McFillan as Yvette, Owen Corey as Mr. Green; James Young as Mr. Boddy; and Krystle N. Adams as the cook.

Behind-the-scenes, BRT regular, Charles Morgan (The Producers), returns to design the set along with Minjoo Kim (A Few Good Men) on lights, Michael Keck (Skeleton Crew and A Comedy of Tenors) on sound, and costume design by Linda Bee Stockton, BRT’s resident costumer.

Each of BRT’s productions offer special pre- and post-show engagements, included with the price of the ticket, for guests to create a special night out. The November 3 performance is followed by a catered reception where folks can revel over the night’s show. At the Friday Festival (November 4), BRT patrons can enjoy complimentary beer and appetizers. Looking for a midweek wind down? On the second Wednesday of Clue (November 9), the evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with Wine Down Wednesday, where

audiences are served crudité, desserts, and wine. The third Thursday (November 17), known as Thirsty Thursday, includes an hour of complimentary snacks and beer.

Tickets for Clue are available online or by calling 215-785-0100.

Since 1986, Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) has continued to bring acclaimed theatre to Bucks County. The theatre is the recipient of over 71 Barrymore Award nominations. Now under the direction of Producing Directors Amy and Ken Kaissar and General Manager David J. Abers, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community. In addition to its mainstage productions, BRT offers the William Penn Bank Summer Music Fest, the holiday tradition An American Christmas Songbook concert, the new play development series, America Rising, the summer theatre arts camp ArtRageous, and a range of education programs for local youth.
