Boots & BBQ Festival Fundraiser for Our Stable Life

(LEONIA, NJ) -- Grab your boots & hat and head on down to Bergen Equestrian Center located at Overpeck Park for a Boots & BBQ Festival presented by Discover Line Dance on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. This is a fundraiser for Our Stable Life which is Bergen Equestrian’s Equine Therapy Program and is $25 per person (kids under 12 are free.) All proceeds to benefit "Our Stable Life."

This event will be bringing some amazing food including Smokin’ Mo’s Southern BBQ, Suki’s Sodas, an Ice Cream Truck, $2 Pony Rides & Face Painting too! Beginner Line Dance instruction & Open Dancing throughout the entire night also!

Established in 2012, Our Stable Life is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides non-riding equine treatment and therapy programs for individuals and groups. These programs focus on prevention, education, healing, and assisted recovery. Our Stable Life partnered with Columbia University Irving Medical Center in creating the Man O’ War Project which is the use of and scientifically evaluate equine assisted therapy to treat and help veterans and individuals who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or other mental health problems.

All of the programs at Our Stable Life are guided by qualified professionals for individuals of all ages. The therapeutic benefits of Equine Therapy for individuals and families dealing with life challenges such as anxiety, isolation, addiction, loss of a loved one, phobias, adults, young adults or children with special needs and those suffering from symptoms of PTSD. Our Stable Life will design a program for anyone needing intervention and healing. The grace of a horse enriches the body, mind, and spirit, resulting in true healing. Our Stable Life programs take place at the Bergen Equestrian Center, 40 Fort Lee Road in Leonia, New Jersey.

The Bergen Equestrian Center established in 1974 is a multi service horse facility on 22 acres of landscaped grounds providing a home for over 75 horses at Overpeck County Park in Leonia, New Jersey, (minutes away from the GWB.) Amenities include 3 outdoor riding rings, 2 indoor riding rings, air conditioned tack rooms, heated lounge with a panoramic view of the main indoor arena for an optimum year round experience. Programs include children’s camp, group and individual riding lessons, corporate team building and A Stable Life. A Stable Life is an equine assisted therapy program for families, small groups and individuals looking to heal their souls with the presence and grace of a horse.  Dedicated and fully trained staff and therapists work to ensure participants receive a positive experience. The facility is also the home to Columbia University’s Man of War Program.
