Bill McKim of Belmar wins Monmouth County Travel Guide photo contest

Bill McKim of Belmar won the 2023 Monmouth County Travel Guide photo contest with his photo of the Belmar fishing pier. His photo will be the cover of the 2023 County Travel Guide.

(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners would like to congratulate Bill McKim of Belmar for winning the inaugural Monmouth County Travel Guide photo contest with his photo of the Belmar fishing pier.

“On behalf of the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, we would like to congratulate Bill McKim for winning the first-ever Monmouth County Travel Guide photo contest. We are excited to have his photo published as the cover of this year’s Travel Guide,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Division of Tourism. “We want to thank everyone who submitted photos and the over 3,500 voters who participated in the contest.”

As runners-up, Mark Canny of Locust, who submitted a photo of the Twin Lights Lighthouse in Highlands, and Connor Kane of Asbury Park, who submitted a photo of Convention Hall in Asbury Park, will have their photos published in this year’s Travel Guide.

(HAMILTON, NJ) -- Explore the fleeting nature of time through murals, daily meditative practices and newly commissioned sculptures in "Shantell Martin: Past, Present, Future," on view from September 20, 2026-July 23, 2028 at Grounds For Sculpture (GFS). The immersive, site-specific installation will feature new work indoors and sculptures in the park's gardens.
