BCCT presents Disney's "The Little Mermaid, Jr." at Grunin Center for the Arts

originally published: 07/07/2024

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- BCCT presents Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr. from August 2-4, 2024 at the Grunin Center for the Arts. From classic literature to the Academy Award-winning film and Broadway musical, Ariel's undersea journey is a beautiful love story for the ages. Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.

Performances take place Friday, August 2 at 7:00pm; Saturday, August 3 at 2:00pm & 7:00pm (the evening performance will feature an ASL Interpreter); and Sunday, August 4 at 2:00pm.  Run Time: approximately 75 minutes. Tickets are $22 for adults, $19 for seniors and children 12 & under. Tickets are available for purchase online. Please note that it is the Grunin Center Policy that all attendees, regardless of age, require a ticket.

Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. was adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
