(RUTHERFORD, NJ) -- Bananas Comedy Club presents comedian Hari Kondabolu (Comedy Central, NPR) on Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th with two shows each night. The Queens-raised/Brooklyn-based comedian brings a new hour to Rutherford.
Hailed as “one of the most exciting political comics” (New York Times), his Netflix special "Warn Your Relatives" was named on many “Best of” lists and he has performed on Comedy Central, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, John Oliver’s NY Standup Show and The Late Show with David Letterman. Hari was also named by Variety in their “Comics To Watch” list and has released two chart-topping comedy albums.
Hari was also a writer and correspondent for the critically acclaimed TV show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and co-host of the “Politically Re-Active” podcast along with Kamau. Hari's documentary The Problem with Apu was released to critical acclaim and spurred a global conversation about race and representation which continues to this day. A public radio favorite, Hari is a regular on NPR's Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!
Performances take place Friday, September 9th at 7:30pm & 10:00pm and Saturday, September 10th at 7:30pm and 10:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. This show is 16+. Please note, there is a 2 item per person minimum in the showroom. Tickets will be available for pick up at the box office 45 minutes prior to the show.
