(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Still deciding on New Years Eve plans? The Atlantic City Comedy Club has a show featuring Rus Gutin, Gibran Saleem, Shivani Dave, and David James. Close out the year with some laughs on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 8:00pm.
Shivani Davé is an NYC-based, Indian-American stand up comic and writer from Boston. She performs at all the top clubs around NYC and the country, and hosts the successful “Top 5 Comedy” show. She has featured in national festivals like the New York Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, and is a 2024 Ladies of Laughter finalist. Shivani has opened for well known comics like Dave Attell, Gary Gulman, and Bonnie McFarlane. Prior to her burgeoning comedy endeavors, Shivani was Division 1 tennis player and a corporate lickspittle in the healthcare technology industry. She started her comedy career writing sketch (at Magnet Theatre) and screenplays, which have been recognized in major festivals, such as the Atlanta Film Festival.
Gibran Saleem was born in North Carolina and raised in Virginia in a Pakistani household. He started comedy while attending graduate school at New York University. While attending school he was individually handpicked as an MVP nominee on the national TBS Rooftop Comedy College Competition and was a 2-time recipient of the UCB diversity scholarship. Gibran is the only comedian to ever be chosen as a finalist for both the Stand-Up NBC and NBC Late Night program; where he was 1 of 6 individuals hand selected over 1,000 submissions. Gibran has been featured on MTV, TV Land, Popcorn Flix, PBS, CUNY TV, VOA, Elite Daily, and Cosmopolitan and performed his stand-up television debut on Gotham Comedy Live for AXS TV. Gibran was the focus of an international documentary on NHK TV called Asian Dreamers: Brown is Funny. He has been featured nationally in festivals across the country as well as winning 1st place in the Hoboken comedy festival. Gibran is a staple among college campuses and travels throughout the year. He can also be seen on season 2 of Better Things on FX.
David James started comedy when he was the only person in his village that could pull a microphone from a stone. He immediately went to his first open mic night at The Laugh House in Philadelphia. Audiences responded to David's talent immediately by asking, "Hey, where that Ni@@a from soul plane, you ain't him!?" Next, David became a legend by defeating all of his foes in the Philadelphia Hunger Games, also known as Helium Comedy Club's first-annual Philly's Phunniest Competition. He retired from comedy competitions due to the carnage left behind. Since then, David has worked his way up in the comedy world. David has performed at colleges in front of woke children, bars in front of people that didn't know there would be a comedy show, private shows that owners forced their employees to attend, and at clubs in front of drunk adults. David has performed all around the country featuring and headlining without catching a #MeToo case. His unique and observational style of walking on the line has left audiences intrigued, confused, and laughing. Don't miss this exciting comic!
