
(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- art629 is looking for LGBTQIA+ Artists and Allies to submit work for their upcoming pride exhibition this June. In honor of NJ Pride Month and in commemoration of the 53rd anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, an event which helped spark the LGBTQIA+ rights movement, they are looking for art that represents the culture of the LGBTQIA+ community. All media is welcome.
HOW TO SUBMIT ART
1. Send images of artwork with titles and dimensions to [email protected]
2. Attach a brief bio and CV
3. Include links to website or relevant social media
4. Send $20 submission fee through venmo or paypal
The submission deadline is Saturday, May 14th. The opening reception for the exibition is scheduled for Saturday June 4 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
art629 is located at 629 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park, New Jersey. It is a gallery dedicated to the exhibition of fine contemporary art. The gallery's objective is to give all artists a voice, with a focus on bringing new ideas to the region. They welcome works that may be considered controversial or outsider from artists both local and international, and are proud to provide a platform for those artists who think and create outside the box.
The gallery also provides a space for artists to create through open studio, life drawing classes, and private art lessons. In addition, they host pop-up events with live music and local artists.
