originally published: 12/30/2025

(WARETOWN, NJ) -- Albert Music Hall will ring in the new year on Sunday, January 4, 2026, with its annual Winter Hootenanny in the Pines. The event marks the Hall's return from its winter break and promises an afternoon filled with live music and community, spanning genres of Folk, Country, Bluegrass, and Americana.

Along with some seasoned Albert Hall performers, the venue is excited to introduce two superb debuts to the stage - Johnny Zarfati, returning after a memorable appearance at their outdoor Heritage Festival, and Jason Ager, a respected roots musician who will bring his finely crafted blend of Folk, Bluegrass and Country to the stage for the first time.

Doors open at 1:00pm, with music starting at 2:00pm. The afternoon will begin with Redbird and Greg McGarvey, followed by Johnny ZarfatiJason Ager, Fish & Whistle, and Billy T. Midnight.

Admission is $10 for adults and $1 for children under 12. The venue is cash-only. Albert Music Hall is located at 131 Wells Mills Road in Waretown.

Please note: The Pick'n Shed will not be open during this event due to renovations.

For lunch or early dinner, the Food Booth menu will include pulled pork sandwiches, meatballs, kielbasa & kraut, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs. Vegan “Chik’n” patties are available on request. Amish desserts, including those much-loved donuts, will be available for $3 each. A hot sandwich, beverage, and dessert can be enjoyed for $10 or under.

The Gift Shop is stocked with Albert Hall, music, and Pinelands-themed gifts, along with an expanding selection of local music and history books. You’ll also find unique items from local crafters and vendors. A 50/50 drawing will be held.

Come help celebrate the start of the Hall’s new season with this special Sunday treat!
