A Look At The Brook Arts Center Summer Theater Camp

(BOUND BROOK, NJ) -- Registration for the Brook Arts Center Summer Theater Camp is now open! They are thrilled to announce a 2022 program offering two 3-week sessions, July 11-29, and August 1-19. Weekdays 9:00am-3:00pm. Camp Brook is designed to provide a fun creative experience for students entering grades 3rd - 10th in the Fall of 2022, who are interested in exploring the wonders of theater.

Their experienced staff has designed a fun program that will develop self-confidence, self-expression, and creativity and teach students to work as a team. Campers will explore their imaginations and creativity through theater games, pantomime, role-playing, and improvisation.

In both August and July sessions, campers will have the opportunity to discover the various aspects of theatre. Each session will focus on a theme and a variety of scenes and musical numbers from selected shows. All leading up to Opening Night - performing on the Historic Brook Theater stage!

Session 1:  Disney – They will focus on materials from Disney across history! From the classic animated movies, wonderful stage productions, and Disney Channel Originals, with choices from Frozen, Newsies, Little Mermaid, Descendants, Peter Pan, High School Musical, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, and much more! 

Session 2:  Kids on Broadway - They will take campers across the musical theater canon and explore shows that focused on, who else… KIDS!  From kid-centric shows such as School of Rock, Matilda, Annie, Bye, Bye Birdie, Fun Home, Into the Woods, and scores of others!

The Brook Arts Center is a nonprofit theater located in the historic borough of Bound Brook. They offer a wide variety of performances, concerts, dance, music, and community events. The venue is available for corporate, social, nonprofit and arts related events, screenings, and film shoots.
