The musical is based on the film and screenplay by Billy Wilder and features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and a libretto by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. Unpublished Sam Shepard Play "Little Ocean" Starts U.S. Premiere With "Action" and "The Unseen Hand" at The Black Box (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- In association with the Estate of Sam Shepard, The Black Box - NJ's incubator for new and under-produced works by world-class artists - is proud to present Shepard's groundbreaking plays Action, The Unseen Hand, and the U.S. premiere of the unpublished Little Ocean, starting next week on September 21 through October 8, 2023 for ten shows only!
The Barn Theatre presents "Suite Surrender" (MONTVILLE, NJ) -- The Barn Theatre in Montville, NJ kicks off their 96th Season with the rib tickling, side splitting comedic farce Suite Surrender, written by Michael McKeever and directed by Todd Mills of Boonton, running weekends from September 22 to October 8, 2023. The setting is 1942 at the Palm Beach Royale, where we meet two of Hollywood's most famous Diva's Claudia McFadden played by Montclair's Jessi Baden and Athena Sinclair played by Montclair's Rachelle Rennagel.

LATEWAVES releases "Frog" (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Alt-rock band LATEWAVES has shared "Frog", the third single from their forthcoming self-titled album. The song shows a playful side to the band, who took the song's title literally and appear in the music video hopping around the forest in frog costumes.
Lyle Lovett and Chris Isaak to Perform at Scottish Rite Auditorium (COLLINGSWOOD, NJ) -- Four-time Grammy Award-winning singer, composer and actor Lyle Lovett's fall tour, which kicks off at New York's Carnegie Hall, comes to the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood on Saturday, October 7th. Chris Isaak is also on the bill. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.
Makin Waves Song of the Week: "Rust" by Flycatcher Asbury Park indie rockers Flycatcher kick off a two-week tour on Sept. 19 in Massachusetts that will take them through Michigan. "Rust," the latest single and video from their "Stunt" EP, is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.

Animal, a film directed by Lauren Adams, and written by Margaret Miller and Jeff Roberts, highlights the talented acting of Cathy Curtin, Arielle Estoria, Amy Heidt, and Dot Marie Jones. The film centers around a dystopian world and follows the characters throughout the film, as they grapple with totalitarian control and their lack of autonomy. A dystopian masterpiece, the film features appealing visual imagery, an intriguing ideological narrative, and symbolic metaphor to give the viewer a deeper understanding of authoritarian control.

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- A new exhibit at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University will celebrate two southern New Jersey tribal communities through the display of historical documents, traditional artifacts and contemporary art. "Still Here: The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape and Powhatan-Renape Nations of Southern New Jersey" opens October 9 and runs until January 5, 2025.
