This is a five-part series that explores the five aspects of voice: Volume, Pitch, Pace, Diction, and Resonance. Bergen County Players to Hold Auditions for "Rent" in June 
(ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players will open its 91st season this September with Rent, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning rock musical that shaped a generation of audiences. Open auditions will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Rd. in Oradell, NJ on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, June 19th, 20th and 22nd at 7:30pm. BCP is seeking an ethnically diverse cast of men and women ages 18 - 40. With Music, book and lyrics by Jonathan Larson, Rent brings together a multi-ethnic cast of characters, portrayed by both BCP veterans and newcomers alike.
East Lynne Theater Company signs 25-year lease with Cape May to use Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church 
(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- East Lynne Theater Company (ELTC) announced that it has been offered a 25-year lease to utilize Cape May's historic Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) for its future productions. Having had a successful tenure at the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May for over 20 years, the Company will now begin to raise funds to renovate the space to turn it into a theater with the hopes of opening for the 2024 season.

New Jersey State Council on the Arts to Receive Nearly $1.2 Million from the National Endowment for the Arts 
(TRENTON, NJ) -- The New Jersey State Council on the Arts has been approved for a grant of $1,190,200 from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). For nearly 60 years, the Council has received funding from the Endowment as part of its State and Regional Partnerships program, which extends the reach of federal resources through State Arts Agencies nationwide. This year's award is the Council's largest NEA partnership grant in its 57-year history.
