Surflight Theatre Announces 75th Season Lineup
 

(BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- With beginnings from the great showman, Joseph P. Hayes, when he started his Surflight Ampitheatre in a very large tent in Beach Haven Crest ( large as in over 2000 seats), Surflight Theatre has been able to stand the test of time and make it to 2024 with their Broadway at the Beach. The theatre will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a season that includes Million Dollar Quartet. South Pacific, Footloose, Titantic, Head Over Heels, Stardust Road, The Great American Trailer Park, Steel Magnolias, Daddy Long Legs, and Miracle on 34th Street. Plus comedy nights, musical concerts, and an assortment of shows for the kids.

 



Remember Jones & Gaby Albo Star in "Evita" at Axelrod PAC
 

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) will present Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Evita for 16 performances from May 31 to June 16, 2024. Asbury Park-based rock and soul singer Remember Jones will star as Che and Gaby Albo, fresh off her starring role as Gloria Estefan in the National Tour of Broadway's On Your Feet, takes the title role of Eva Peron. The production is directed by José Zayas with choreography by Kelsey Burns and music direction by Michael Gilch, who will conduct the live 10-piece orchestra.

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center presents the fifth edition of The MAC ONE-ACTSPlay-Reading Festival, featuring original, one-act works by New Jersey playwrights read theatrically by local actors. The festival will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 7:00pm, and is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.

Buddy Guy's "Damn Right Farewell" Tour LIVE! at MPAC
 

Music lovers inside Morristown, NJ's MPAC auditorium this Friday, May 3, 2024 evening happily await a sold-out Damn Right Farewell concert by blues legend Buddy Guy. Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who started out performing with bluesmen like Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters and ended up influencing such major rock guitarists as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page. A winner of multiple Grammys in addition to a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Guy is included on Rolling Stone's list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and is also a recipient of a 2012 Kennedy Center Honors award.

2024 Lighthouse International Film Festival Preview
 

(LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ) -- The 2024 Lighthouse International Film Festival (LIFF) takes place June 5-9, on beautiful Long Beach Island. In addition to watching films, festival goers can rub shoulders with producers and directors, attend filmmaker panels, master classes, and party into the night at special events. The festival will screen more than 110 documentary, narrative, short, horror, thriller, and surf films.

 



Montclair Film presents the inaugural Montclair Film Summer Showcase
 

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Montclair Film, New Jersey's leading film non-profit, presents the inaugural Montclair Film Summer Showcase, taking place June 27-30, 2024 at The Clairidge Cinema in Montclair, as part of the Prudential Presents North To Shore Festival. The program will feature the season's leading independent, documentary, and international films prior to their theatrical release. West Windsor Arts to Debut New Activities at ArtWalk 2024

MPAC presents Free Concerts and Movies all summer long!
 

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) has announced its 2024 Summer free concert and movie lineup. Events will take place outdoors at Vail Mansion Plaza and Pioneer Park by 1776 on the Green. Summer movies will be held at MPAC. This year's outdoor events will feature music ranging from salsa to hip hop to Bollywood.
