Bergen County Players presents "The Fantasticks"
 

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, continues its 92nd season with the longest-running musical classic, The Fantasticks. Full of buoyant humor, charming tunes, and a sprinkle of magic, The Fantasticks has been hailed as "a beautiful, poetic, and highly theatrical tale of the power and depth of love — gained, lost and found again" (Broadway World). Performances run March 9 through April 6, 2024.

 



Classic American Tales to hold acting workshop at End of the Road Theater
 

(NORTH CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Ever wanted to pursue your passion for theater? Hold a script in your hands? Classic American Tales (CAT) is offering an acting workshop for ages 17 on up, and all levels of experience are welcomed. The location is End of the Road Theater (3845 Bayshore Road) in North Cape May on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Made popular by the Kathy Bates, James Caan film, Misery becomes stranger than fiction when an acclaimed romance novelist wakes up in the home of his "Number One Fan." Luna Stage extends "RIFT or White Lies" through March 10th
 

(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage will extend its critically-acclaimed production of RIFT or White Lies through March 10. Originally slated to close March 3, this Luna-commissioned Rolling World Premiere by Gabriel Jason Dean has played to sold-out houses and enthusiastic audience response. Black Box Studios' Summer Rock Musical Theater Intensive Returns For 2024
 

(TEANECK, NJ) -- For the first time since before the pandemic, Black Box Studios' popular Summer Rock Musical Theater Intensive returns to Teaneck at Debonair Music Hall for teens entering grades 6 through 12. With limited spots available, the Rock Musical Theater Intensive '24 runs June 24 through July 19, Mondays through Fridays during the day, and the program culminates with two evening shows accompanied by a live rock band.

Prudential Center presents Diljit Dosanjh
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Punjabi music mogul Diljit Dosanjh announced his Dil-Luminati Tour, taking him to stadiums and arenas across North America this year. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will make a stop at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Showtime is 8:00pm.

 



State Theatre New Jersey presents Kyiv Virtuosi Symphony Orchestra
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Kyiv Virtuosi Symphony Orchestra led by Chief Conductor Dmitry Yablonsky on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3:00pm. The program includes Myroslav Skoryk's Melody, Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor; Mendelsohn & Moscheles' "Fantasie Brilliante & Variations"; Ignaz Moscheles' "Les Contrastes" Grand Duo Op. 115; Berliner's Jacob's Dream Cello Concerto; and Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 in F Major. Soloists in the program include pianist Alon Kariv, Dmitry Yablonsky on cello, and the MultiPiano Ensemble.

Music lovers take their seats inside Morristown, NJ's MPAC auditorium this Friday, February 16, 2024 evening and ready themselves for a sold-out concert by the legendary recording artist, Dionne Warwick. Warwick is a six-time Grammy Award-winner who has performed on more than 75 charted hits and sold over 100 million records. Born and raised in the Garden State, she received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in 2019, was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021, and was recognized with a Kennedy Center Honors award in 2023.

Atlantic City Arts Foundation's 100th Mural to be Painted by Renowned Muralist Mona Caron
 

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- The Atlantic City Arts Foundation, along with presenting sponsor ThriveAC Fund and partner Create 48, announced renowned Swiss-American artist Mona Caron will paint the largest mural in Atlantic City, commencing in April 2024. Located at The Atlantic, the 19-story mural will be the organization's 100th mural, and become the largest mural in the city. Part of Caron's WEEDS project, the mural will incorporate flora native to Atlantic City, narrating themes of resilience, renewal, and perseverance.

 



New York Times Photojournalist Michelle V. Agins Makes Museum Debut at the Zimmerli
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Michelle V. Agins, whose images tell unforgettable stories about life in America, was the second Black woman ever hired as a staff photographer at The New York Times. She built her career at a time when photo editors gave very few assignments to women—much less to women of color.

 



Northern NJ Community Foundation Launches "Beyond the Wall: Developing Digital Content Illuminating The Black Women's Mural" in Englewood
 

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) opens Women’s History Month in March launching "Beyond the Wall: Developing Digital Content Illuminating The Black Women's Mural". The NNJCF's ArtsBergen initiative plans to develop an educational, inspirational website expounding on the meaning, significance and process of the creation of "The Black Women's Mural: Celebrating Black Suffragists and Black Women in Englewood", a public artwork created on the Women's Rights Information Center's (WRIC) building in the City of Englewood, New Jersey.

U.S. Economic Development Administration Names Newark as Competition Finalist for Federal 'Recompete' Grant
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- On February 26, 2024, Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced that the City of Newark is one of 22 finalists, culled from a pool of 560 applicants, to now further detail its proposal for a federal grant under the Distressed Area Recompete Pilot Program (Recompete). Called "Newark Builds Newark," the city's project would create a skilled workforce trained to build the city itself, as well as its economic strength.

 



Stockton Panel Featuring Industry Experts to Focus on Cannabis Tourism in Atlantic City
 

(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- A panel of cannabis industry experts will lead a free online webinar focusing on cannabis tourism in Atlantic City on Thursday, March 7. The webinar, titled "Destination Cannabis: Spotlight on Atlantic City," will discuss legal recreational cannabis and its development as a tourism amenity in the resort. The webinar begins at 1:00pm.
