Unveiling the Power of Pitch: Episode 4 of Vocal Canvas Podcast

(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- NextGen Acting, in collaboration with East Brunswick Public Library and Playhouse 22, has released of the fourth episode of their podcast series, Vocal Canvas. Directed by seasoned actor and NextGen Acting founder, Dennis Connors, this episode asks listeners to traverse deep into the art of voice while "Ascending Pitch."

Episode 4: Ascending Pitch: The latest episode explores how pitch is used to tell stories, ask questions, and declare authority. Whether it's the unsure tone of a store associate, the monotone voice of a less-than-inspiring coach, or the vulnerability of our unshielded voices, this episode reveals that pitch is not only for singers but for speakers and actors alike.

Vocal Canvas is a five-part podcast series that serves as a compelling journey into the world of voice acting. The series is a rich blend of education and creativity, illuminating the powerful intricacies of voice. NextGen Acting is a performing arts school located in central NJ, offering a wide range of classes in acting, improv, voice-over, on-camera acting, and more. With theatre and improv programs running in East Brunswick with Playhouse 22 and its own location with programs like Winter Break Acting Camp in North Brunswick, NextGen Acting is passionate about empowering students and helping them break out of their shells through the art of acting.

Playhouse 22, is East Brunswick's Community Theater troupe.  With more than 60 years of providing theater to residents of Central Jersey, Playhouse 22 has staged hundreds of live performances ranging from “Camelot”, “1776”, and “The Drowsy Chaperone” to plays like “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” and “Neil Simon’s Rumors”.  Located at the Elliott Taubenslag Theater at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center.

Cape May Stage presents "Love, Loss, & What I Wore"

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Cape May Stage presents Love, Loss, & What I Wore from July 5-11, 2025. Based on Ilene Beckerman's bestselling book, this tender and witty play weaves together monologues and ensemble pieces to explore the deep connections between clothing and memory, touching on themes like mothers, prom dresses, bras, purses, and the timeless appeal of black clothing. Showtime is 8:00pm each night.
