140 people attended the 9th Annual Expect Change luncheon at The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center.
(CAMDEN, NJ) -- The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center's signature "Expect Change" luncheon returned for its ninth year on November 8, 2023, celebrating a year of tremendous service, program innovations, and exciting partnerships. The event also honored community partners who have been crucial supporters of The Salvation Army's ongoing efforts to provide service and love to those in need throughout the Camden community and beyond.
The event, presented by New Jersey American Water and U.S. Facilities, focused on stories of meaningful impact and change over the last year, highlighting the Camden Kroc Center's commitment to transforming local lives, one individual and one family at a time.
Keynote Speaker Marianne Aleardi, President and Publisher of SJ Mag Media, shared her own experiences with the Camden Kroc Center. “It’s so amazing to see how much the Kroc Center does to support the community. The Center will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary; I remember when it was founded. So wonderful to watch all these years as an idea turn into a powerful reality.”
The luncheon represented a special milestone for the Kroc Center, as begins its 10th year of service in the Camden community.
"The Expect Change luncheon was a great success; we couldn’t have done all that we have without our partners and friends,” said Major Richard Sanchez, Camden Kroc Center Administrator. “We expect no change in their support and commitment to The Salvation Army Camden Kroc, and we move forward with their support to inaugurate plans to celebrate a decade of growth and outreach to Camden and South Jersey.”
The following community partners were honored for their valued commitment to making the Camden Kroc Center's work possible:
TD Bank – Corporate Giving Partner of the Year
Enterprise Holdings – Corporate Volunteer Partner of the Year
Blue Wave Aquatics – Program Partner of the Year
The Food Bank of South Jersey – Agency Partner of the Year
Net proceeds from the annual luncheon support Kroc Center scholarships, providing individuals with access to the Kroc Center and its programs to ensure that everyone has opportunities to grow their gifts, experiences, and talents.
The event also launches the 2023 Red Kettle Season! To help ensure that The Salvation Army can continue to provide vital services throughout Camden and New Jersey, supporters can donate online here. Every donation provides help and hope to those in need, and all gifts stay within the community in which they are given.
