(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- In June, beloved early 2000s pop-punk band Something Corporate kicked off their 21-date sold-out reunion tour which will be heading across the U.S. this summer and fall. The Out Of Office Tour – the first official cross-country tour featuring the band's five original members in over 20 years – stops in Asbury Park on Friday, August 23, 2024 at The Stone Pony Summer Stage with support from Hidden In Plain View.

Something Corporate first formed in 1998 when its members were in high school and in a short period of time created quite the stir before going on hiatus in 2005. During its tenure, the highly adored SoCal band released multiple albums, including their major label debut, Leaving Through The Window, in 2002 via MCA Records/Drive-Thru Records, which premiered at the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, and 2003’s North, which entered the Billboard 200 at #24. During its heyday, the band toured extensively worldwide, including a summer on the Vans Warped Tour, graced the cover of Alternative Press magazine, and performed on late-night TV including an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Collectively, Something Corporate – hailed as “one of the most respected groups in the scene with their incredible hooks and emotionally transparent music” (Alternative Press) – has sold over 1 million total records.

Adding to the excitement of the their long-awaited reunion tour, frontman and veteran indie-pop singer-songwriter-pianist Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and Something Corporate released a new single “Death Grip” on June 20th via Big Loud Rock. “Death Grip” marks the first new song release from Something Corporate in over 20 years and the first taste of new music from McMahon since the release of his fourth studio album, Tilt At The Wind No More, in spring 2023 under his longstanding Wilderness moniker.

The core members of the Orange County, California quintet – Andrew McMahon (vocals, piano), Josh Partington (guitar), Kevin “Clutch” Page (bass), Brian Ireland (drums), and William Tell (guitar) – first reunited in 2023 for main stage performances at the When We Were Young festival and three sold-out headlining shows in Las Vegas and Anaheim. Those five reunion performances, the band’s first official shows together in 20 years, also saw McMahon debut a one-of-a-kind upright piano fully wrapped in Christie MicroTiles LED displaying images and lyrics from throughout the band’s catalog, which will be front and center once again on the Out Of Office Tour.

“The band and I couldn’t be more excited for these upcoming dates,” shares front man Andrew McMahon. “We’re having more fun together than ever and the generosity of the fans, both online and at last year’s shows, made it impossible not to come back and do a few more. We hope to see you there!”

The Stone Pony is located at 913 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey. To combat scalping and ensure as many real fans as possible are able to attend the Out Of Office Tour and get affordable tickets, Something Corporate implemented various anti-scalping efforts, with McMahon leading the process alongside his management team at C3 and booking agency WME, who all worked extensively with each show’s promoter.

$1 per ticket goes towards The Dear Jack Foundation, which provides impactful programming that directly benefits adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer in order to improve their quality of life and create positive health outcomes from treatment to survivorship for patients and their families.
