RVCC Theatre to Present One-Man Show on Groucho Marx on September 27th

Frank Ferrante in An Evening with Groucho

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will kick-off its 2024-2025 season on a jovial note with Frank Ferrante in An Evening with Groucho on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 8:00pm. The Award-winning actor offers an acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast-paced, 90 minutes of hilarity. The two-act comedy consists of the funniest Groucho one-liners, anecdotes, and songs, including "Hooray for Captain Spalding" and "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady."

The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante adlibs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style. Accompanied by his onstage pianist, Ferrante portrays the young Groucho of stage and film and reacquaints us with the likes of brothers Harpo, Chico, Zeppo and Gummo, as well as Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields, and Marx foil Margaret Dumont. The show is a perfect choice for comedy fans of all ages.

Tickets for Frank Ferrante in An Evening with Groucho cost $50, $45, and $40. Tickets are available for purchase online or by calling the Box Office, 908-725-3420. Senior citizen, student, and group discounts are also available for most performances.
