Outpost in the Burbs presents Light of Day

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Outpost in the Burbs and The Light of Day Foundation present WinterFest 2024 "Songwriters in the Round" - a Benefit for the Light of Day Foundation on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the First Congregational Church (40 S. Fullerton Avenue) in Montclair. This year's songwriters are James Maddock, Anthony D’Amato, Danielia Cotton, Adam Ezra, Amanda Cross & Derek Cruz, Emily Grove, Jake Thistle, Williams Honor, Jon Caspi, and Deni Bonet & Chris Flynn, and host Joe D’Urso. Showtime is 7:30pm.

“Songwriters in the Round” is an evening of songs performed up close and personal in round robin fashion, with all artists together on stage, each artist performing stripped down to their song, their voice, their story and their instrument. Sometimes the other artists will jump in on a particular song to help out.

General admission tickets are $35; a limited number of VIP tickets (includes reserved seating in the first few rows, and a limited edition poster signed by participating artists) are available for $75.  Tickets are available for purchase online.

The Light of Day Foundation, Inc., utilizes the power of music to raise money and awareness in its continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and its related illnesses ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) within our lifetime. The Foundation’s mission is to fund research into possible cures, improved treatments and support for patients who suffer from those illnesses, their families and their caregivers to help improve their quality of life. The primary fundraising efforts are an annual series of concerts held in Asbury Park, NJ. Since its inception in 2000, Light of Day has raised over $5.75 million in the fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. What began as a single concert in New Jersey has grown into approximately seventy shows in thirteen countries on 3 continents including North America, Europe and Australia.
