(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents a reading of Echo & Narcissus Blast Third Eye Blind Outside a Diner in New Jersey at 2AM on Monday, December 12th at 7:00pm. The play was written by Brandon Monokian and the reading is directed by Jen Rowe. Tickets are free; reservations are recommended.
Echo & Narcissus Blast Third Eye Blind Outside a Diner in New Jersey at 2AM follows two best friends over the course of one night by the ocean in 1999 as they come to terms with their sexuality and their relationships to the world, their friends and each other. We see them again in adulthood as they try to heal the scars of their teenage years, but much like the waves they swam in youth, will they remain brutal and always breaking?
This is part of Luna Stage's New Moon Series, which supports playwrights in developing their work, and offers audiences a chance to see new plays in process.
New Moon Readings provide playwrights an opportunity to hear their work read aloud by professional actors, and to receive supportive yet constructive feedback. As a theater that prioritizes new work, they see New Moon as a pipeline to develop new theatre work, and build relationships with writers, directors, and actors. The series is also an important audience development tool: it involves audiences in the creative process of play development and excites them about the concept of new work.
