Kelly Ripa's Live Wire Book Tour Comes to The Basie

originally published: 08/02/2022

Kelly Ripa

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Kelly Ripa will embark on the Live Wire Book Tour to celebrate the release of her first book, LIVE WIRE: Long-Winded Short Stories (Dey Street Books/HarperCollins Publishers – on sale September 27 in the US). Joined on her book tour by special guests – including husband Mark Consuelos on September 28 at the Count Basie Center’s Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre in Red Bank – Kelly will share her sharp, funny, and honest real-life stories showing the many dimensions and crackling wit of the beloved daytime talk show host. Every ticket includes a copy of LIVE WIRE.

Tickets for Kelly Ripa at the Basie Center go on sale to the general public at 10am this Friday, August 5 through theBASIE.org, the Basie Center box office and Ticketmaster. Count Basie Center members may begin ticket purchases on Wednesday.

In LIVE WIRE, her first book, Kelly shows what really makes her tick. As a professional, as a wife, as a daughter and as a mother, she brings a hard-earned wisdom and an eye for the absurdity of life to every minute of every day. It is her relatability in all of these roles that has earned her fans worldwide and millions of followers on social media. Whether recounting how she and Mark really met, the level of chauvinism she experienced on set, how Jersey Pride follows her wherever she goes, and many, many moments of utter mortification (whence she proves that you cannot, in fact, die of embarrassment) Kelly always tells it like it is. Ms. Ripa takes no prisoners.

Surprising, at times savage, a little shameless and always with humor, LIVE WIRE shows Kelly as she really is offscreen—a very wise woman who has something to say. Kelly’s book tour will launch at the Count Basie Center, and includes stops in New York and Long Island.

The Count Basie Center for the Arts is located at 99 Monmouth Street in Red Bank, New Jersey.  Tickets range from $39-$59 and will be available for purchase online starting Friday, August 5th at 10:00am.
