Kate Hughes to Headline Philly All-Female Comedy Show on Saturday

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Kate Hughes, standup comedian headlines a Mother’s Day-themed comedy show this Saturday at Roxy Hall & Bistro, 6139 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia PA. This ticketed event is open to the public.  Doors open at 6:30pm.

Former Director for Fig Lehigh Valley Magazine, Hughes is now embarking on her comedy career. She’s been seen on stage and speaking at events all around the Lehigh Valley including, ArtsQuest’s Steel Stacks, Allentown Art Museum, Fox & Finch Studios, DaVinci Science Center, and is contracted to perform standup for this year's Annual Bethlehem Chamber Awards held at the valley’s Historic Bethlehem Hotel.

“Kate has spent years building recognition and awareness for nonprofit initiatives and small businesses in the Lehigh Valley and will continue to be an advocate in the arts, fundraising and talent booking industries, says owner of --ts Brand Elevation, Tiffany Sondergaard.  “Kate Hughes has embedded herself in this community and gone well above at creating a solid network that supports her professionally.  She is a creative genius, and we eagerly await to see what she has been working on behind-the-scenes.”

We expect a lot from Hughes who will begin her “Transparency Tour” - Kate’s 2024 East Coast Comedy Tour in conjunction with her first book, “Most Flammable - A story of a girl on fire.” She currently works with the Wisdom Coalition, --ts Brand Elevation, and Givafifth in talent management and fundraising divisions.

Tickets for Saturday’s show are available for purchase online. Doors open at 7:30pm.  There will be an Open Mic from 8:00pm to 9:00pm hosted by J-Play Vines. The Main Showcase runs from 9:00pm to 11:00pm and is hosted by C.A. Kanooble. In addition to Kate Hughes, the night features performances by Sheree Str8 Blunt, Andrea Pranzatelli, and Bikini Bodyd.
