(EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- East Brunswick Public Library, in collaboration with NextGen Acting and Playhouse 22, is holding open auditions for the upcoming podcast limited series, Vocal Canvas. This is a five-part series that explores the five aspects of voice: Volume, Pitch, Pace, Diction, and Resonance. Each episode will focus on one aspect of voice and will feature a performance of a work written by a community member.
"We're thrilled to be collaborating with NextGen Acting and Playhouse 22 on this innovative project," said Melissa Hozik, Adult Programming Coordinator at East Brunswick Public Library. "Vocal Canvas is not just a podcast, it's a celebration of the power and diversity of the human voices in our community."
The writer and director for the series will be NextGen Acting founder and professional actor, Dennis Connors, who commented, "I sincerely wonder how actors can get better if they are not performing. I am excited to provide an opportunity for local actors to flex their performance muscles and get involved in a limited series podcast."
"We are looking for a diverse range of voices ages 18 and older to bring this series to life. Whether you're an experienced actor, a budding voice artist, or someone with a unique voice and a passion for storytelling, we want to hear from you."
"Vocal Canvas is a testament to the power of voice in storytelling. It's about exploring the nuances of voice and how they shape our communication and expression. At Playhouse 22, we believe in the transformative power of the performing arts, and we're excited to bring this belief to a new medium through our collaboration on Vocal Canvas. We can't wait to hear the diverse range of voices that will bring this series to life." - Adam Neary, Executive Producer, Playhouse 22.
