(DUNELLEN, NJ) -- Circle Players will perform William Shakespeare's classic comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream this August to benefit for the Dunellen Arts Council. They are holding auditions by appointment only June 5-6 at the Columbia Park Senior Center at 200 Orange Street, Dunellen.
Interested auditioners must fill out this form and schedule a time slot. The audition slots are Sunday, June 5, 7:30pm – 9:30pm and Monday, June 6, 7:30pm – 9:30pm. Callbacks are scheduled for Tuesday, June 7, 7:30pm – 9:30pm – if needed, by invitation only.
The show will be performed outdoors in Dunellen's Washington Memorial Park on August 12 and 13 at 8:00pm.
Director Kirk White seeks actors of all ages to cast the play. Some actors will likely be double-cast. The director asks auditioners to prepare a short comedic Shakespearean monologue, but materials to audition with will also be provided for auditioners if necessary. Younger children need not prepare a monologue.
Circle Players is committed to diversity and inclusion, and as such, looks to cast performers of all races and ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities and abilities to audition. We also acknowledge that some roles we list fall on the gender binary, but invite all performers, including those who identify as transgender and non-binary, to audition for the roles they most identify with.

Circle Players promotes appreciation for the art and tradition of theater by entertaining, enriching and educating the community. Circle Players also offers alternatives to mainstream entertainment by presenting both classic and newer plays, with emphasis on seldom-seen material performed in a unique and intimate theater-in-the-round setting. By providing an environment to learn more about theater arts, Circle Players offers opportunities for volunteers, members and participants to enhance their lives through educational theater programs and workshops offered to the community at large.
