(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Join Cassandra Clare, creator of the runaway hit trilogy The Last Hours for a discussion of her newly-published final volume, Chain of Thorns, in the Ocean County Library’s Virtual Author Talk series on Wednesday, August 23. The event begins at 8:00pm.
The series follows the harrowing exploits of Shadowhunter Cordelia Carstairs, trained from her youth to vanquish demons. Set in London and Paris, the narrative entails a dark legacy that endow her and friends James and Lucie Herrondale with supernatural powers.
The three allies face increasingly intense combat with demons, all the while concealing disturbing secrets that raise suspicions about each other. The pace accelerates, reaching a climactic showdown with an entire army of evil.
Born to American parents in Teheran, Iran, Cassandra Clare captured widespread attention with her absorbing 2004 YA novel The City of Bones. It led to three best-selling series, The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, and The Last Hours.
