An American in Provence's Jamie Beck to Appear in Ocean County Library's Virtual Author Talk Series

originally published: 05/24/2023

An American in Provence

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Author-photographer Jamie Beck, whose extended hiatus in France produced the New York Times best-seller An American in Provence, will appear in the Ocean County Library’s Virtual Author Talk series on Thursday, June 15, 2023.  The event begins at 2:00pm.

An American in Provence is Beck’s account of her five-year stay in the storied French countryside, its contribution to her personal growth, and her evolution as a writer and photographer.

Equal parts travelogue, memoir and cookbook, An American in Provence contains Beck’s tips and techniques for vividly capturing images such as the lush scenery that appears in page after page. Readers will also find tempting farm-to-table recipes.

Beck has created photo campaigns for brands including Nike, Donna Karan, Google, Samsung and Microsoft. Her images have appeared in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Netflix, and digital ads for Disney. Many of her original works can be seen on Instagram.
