(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Saturday, May 21st, marks the first annual Daydream Festival at The Union Market & Gallery in the Tuckerton Seaport. Daydream will feature creative vendors and artists, as well as live music and poetry, setting up shop to support David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to families affected by a cancer diagnosis.
The event is sponsored by Soup Can Magazine, an Ocean County based quarterly publication of art, poetry and culture. Since inception last year, Soup Can has been spearheading a movement of supporting local New Jersey communities with their events, raising money and hosting food drives throughout the state. “I’m really looking forward to this happening right here in our community, so close to home,” says Soup Can Co-Founder and Little Egg Harbor resident Amanda Marie Stewart. “I couldn’t think of a better place to do an event like this down here than Union Market.”
In addition to Soup Can having their latest issue available for purchase, attendees can expect a shopping experience with other creative vendors and makers, as well as fresh seafood from Oyster House. The live entertainment will include performances by Damian Rucci, Mwikali Words, Martin Howth, Izzy Miz, Chris Rockwell Collective, Nick Nubz & New Breed, S0ulfood, aLunarlanding (on tour from Maine), Tom Leveille (on tour from Virginia), and in their debut appearance, Shinything. Sound management for the stage will be provided by Chill Smith and Chillville Studio, located in Bayville, NJ.
