Brook Arts Center presents Julia Scotti and Uncle Floyd

(BOUND BROOK, NJ) -- Comedians Julia Scotti and Uncle Floyd will be gracing the stage at the Brook Arts Center once again on April 16, 2022. These two Jersey-born comedy gems continue to break down barriers in every facet of show business, proving that age is not just a number, it's an asset!  This is one evening of comedy you don't want to miss!  Showtime is 8:00pm.

Julia Scotti, the raucous, good-time granny comedian who appeared on "America's Got Talent in n 2016, captured the country's attention when she revealed the story of her first few decades as comedian Rick Scotti. Scotti first made a splash in the stand-up comedy scene in New York City in the 1980s, performing at the Improv in Hell's Kitchen alongside such contemporaries as Jerry Seinfeld, Paul Reiser, Chris Rock, and Eddie Murphy. Making a triumph return to the stage in 2011 as “the crazy old lady of comedy, she appeared on Comedy Central and was the winner of Showtime's Funniest Person in America's contest for New Jersey, losing the finals to Ellen DeGeneres. She now performs standup all over the country and is currently starring in the critically acclaimed documentary, “Julia Scotti: Funny that Way”.

New Jersey's legendary Uncle Floyd is an actor, comedian, musician, primarily known for The Uncle Floyd Show (1974–1998.)  The show featured character comedy, puppetry, audience participation, with musical guests such as David Bowie, The Ramones, Tiny Tim.  Bon Jovi, Jan and Dean, Peter Tork, Cyndi Lauper, and of course Floyd's piano playing and sidekick Oogie! Uncle Floyd continues to entertain audiences with his unique act of saucy songs, kooky comedy, and vivacious vaudeville.

Online discounted tickets are available at www.brookarts.org or 732-469-7700. Box office opens two hours before showtime for walk-up sales. Concessions, bar, and free parking are available.
