Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts presents "A Year with Frog and Toad"

originally published: 10/02/2023

(BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts presents three performances of A Year with Frog and Toad from October 14-15, 2023. This is their first Theatre for Young Audiences show! It's a "don't miss" for kids!  Join Frog and Toad as they sing through a special year of magical lessons about acceptance, love, and the joys of a simple life!

A hit on Broadway, A Year with Frog and Toad was nominated for three Tony Awards – including Best Musical. Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books, and featuring a hummable score by Robert and Willie Reale, this whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons.

Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe... all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons.

Official performances take place Saturday, October 14 at 10:00am (sensory friendly performance) and 1:00pm (stay after the 1:00pm show for a meet and greet with the cast.  Enjoy a story and cookies with the cast!); and Sunday, October 15 at 1:00pm (join the cast for Afternoon Tea with Frog and Toad and snacks at 12:00pm before the show - tea, hot chocolate and tea-time snacks!).  The public is also invited to attend a dress rehearsal on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00pm (no tickets required).

Tickets are available for purchase online.
