(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Transport yourself to exotic corners of the world, right in Toms River. The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch presents “Vacation Memories,” an exhibit by renowned shore artist Barbara Kraemer, throughout the month of August. The display, which will be on view in the McConnell Gallery, represents one facet of Barbara’s expertise in many different styles, using watercolors, acrylics, oils and mixed media.
“Each painting frees your spirit and brings opportunity to learn new techniques,” she said. “I paint ‘scapes’ – cityscapes, seascapes, landscapes and everything else. I paint ‘things’ – slate welcome signs, personalized piggy banks, birdhouses, just to name a few.”
Barbara’s illustrations will appear in a book about a pair of rambunctious Chihuahuas, The Adventures of Kozmo & Katie, scheduled to be published in autumn 2022. She maintains an active presence on Facebook, and donates a portion of all proceeds from paint-along parties and sales of her art to selected causes.
“Vacation Memories” is free and open to the public. No registration is required to view the exhibit. For details, visit the Branch, 101 Washington Street in Toms River, call (732) 349-6200 or go to the library website.
