(ELIZABETH, NJ) -- The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Department of Parks and Recreation invite residents young and old to experience a whole village of haunted houses and the ghosts of people who actually lived and died there during the annual Haunted Hayrides at the Deserted Village of Feltville/Glenside Park. The program includes a hayride and walk through a dark forest.
“What better way to celebrate the Halloween Season then to walk and ride through the Deserted Village of Feltville/Glenside Park,” said Union County Freeholder Chairman Bruce H. Bergen.
This year’s Haunted Hayrides will take place on Friday evening October 21, Saturday evening, October 22, and Sunday evening October 23. All of the fun will take place from 6:30 PM until 10:00 PM. Tickets are on sale to Union County residents at $8, and $16 for Non-County residents. Ticket purchases are limited to 8 per person, with no refunds or exchanges. This program is for adults and Children, aged 6 and up. No strollers will be allowed.
Tickets can be purchased at three locations: the Union County Administration Building, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza in Elizabeth, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; Trailside Nature & Science Center, 425 New Providence Road in Mountainside, open daily from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM; and the Colleen Fraser Building, 300 North Avenue East, in Westfield on Monday’s 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM, Thursdays 8:30 AM until 6:30 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM.
The Deserted Village of Feltville/Glenside Park is located in the Berkeley Heights section of the Watchung Reservation, off of Glenside Avenue, along Cataract Hollow Road.
