(NEWARK, NJ) -- Prudential Center will welcome UFC back to New Jersey’s Gateway City on Saturday, August 3. UFC® Fight Night on ESPN marks the eighth UFC event held at Prudential Center and the first time in three years the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization will return to "The Rock." The event will broadcast live on ESPN. The main event is still to be announced.
“We are excited to return to Prudential Center this summer and bring another UFC event to our loyal fans in New Jersey and the entire Tri-State area,” said UFC Executive Vice President, Event Development and Operations Peter Dropick. “Prudential Center has been a great partner to UFC for more than a decade, and has been home to some of the most iconic fights in our history.”
“It’s an honor and a tremendous opportunity to once again host UFC at Prudential Center where so many iconic fights have taken place in years past,” said Sean Saadeh, EVP of Entertainment. “New Jersians and sports fans in the Tri-State region have incredible passion for UFC and its spirited fighters, who are renowned for a grit and determination that mirrors the resolution of our region and the incredible City of Newark. We look forward to welcoming the Octagon back to ‘The Rock’ on Saturday, August 3.”
Prudential Center is located at 25 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey.
