The Adelphi Orchestra Presents Live Concert Online May 15

(RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- The Adelphi Orchestra continues its 67th Season of "Music for All" with a live immersive 360 degrees performance of Saint-Saëns's beloved Carnival of the Animals, Suite for Orchestra, and Schumann's Cello Concerto under the baton of Richard Owen on Saturday, May 15 at 2:00pm.Charles Zandieh, 2020 AO Young Artist Competition Winner, will make his debut with the orchestra.

Produced by Musae In association with  St Johns and Denise Marsa Productions, this concert will be broadcast live in both HD and 360° virtual reality. Concert viewing will be available via donation with pricing ranging from $5-$100. There is an early bird special: Get a Friend, Supporter, or Patron ticket by May 11th, and Musae will send you a basic VR headset for free. While you do not need a headset to enjoy the performance, it will enhance your experience. If you're struggling due to the pandemic, please contribute what you can - if you're able to contribute more, to help someone else pay less, please do!

Tickets are available for purchase onlineUpon ticket purchase you will receive a link and can watch on any device — phone, tablet, computer, tv, or VR headset — and you will also have indefinite access to watch anytime after the live broadcast.  

The concert has been made possible in part by a grant administered by the Bergen County Department of Parks, Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and the Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation.

The Adelphi Orchestra, despite the pandemic, celebrates its 67th Season of "Music for All" and remains Northern New Jersey's longest, continuously performing orchestra. The Adelphi Orchestra presents concerts featuring beloved classical works of symphonic, chamber, operatic, and dance music performed by accomplished national and international guest soloists and distinguished conductors. The Orchestra is currently under the direction of Maestro Richard Owen. For the past 17 years, the Adelphi Orchestra has sponsored a Young Artist Competition and presented Young Artist Concerts throughout New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. The Adelphi Orchestra has been honored by the New Jersey State Legislature for the orchestra's ongoing commitment to Northern New Jersey audiences and by our peers, earning their nomination for 6 consecutive years for Jersey Arts People's Choice Award in Favorite Orchestra/Symphony Division.

Westminster Conservatory of Music observes Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month with May 19 faculty recital

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Westminster Conservatory of Music will present the concert, Celebrating Asian and Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 7:30pm. The concert features nine Conservatory faculty members of APA heritage as they perform music that represents the nation of their background. It will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton. Admission is free.
