(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre has several holiday concerts for the whole family coming in the next few weeks. The holiday excitement begins this Friday night when the PBS smash-hit Christmas With The Celts deliver their high-stepping, high-spirited musical selections that will have audiences clapping along from the first note.

The Celts mix lively traditional Irish music and instrumentation with American pop music and their own originals.  The Celts lineup stars, Ric Blair on vocal-guitar-bodhran & piano along with the lovely Sinead Madden from Dublin, Ireland on vocal and fiddle complemented by an array of top-flight musicians on uilleann pipes, Irish whistles, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, five-string bass, drums and of course, the crowd pleasing Irish dancers.

Then on Saturday, December 4th the The Association is bringing their classic hits like "Goodbye Columbus."  and "Along Comes Mary" as well as holiday songs that you know and love. Go back to a simpler time with one of the most successful bands to emerge from the 1960's golden era of music.

Build new holiday traditions when A John Denver Christmas Special, starring Ted Vigil returns on Saturday, December 12th at 3:00pm. It is impossible to resist the charm of the holiday season after hearing the Rocky Mountain Troubadour singing classics like "Rocky Mountain High" and "Sunshine On My Shoulder". A John Denver Christmas Special has become a fan-favorite concert at The Newton Theatre and has returned for one show only this year so patrons are encouraged to get their tickets early.

And finally, you've heard of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and now you can experience the rocking holiday tradition when Twelve Twenty-Four performs on Sunday, December 19th at 3:00pm. Twelve Twenty-Four is a five-piece rock band with a complete rock orchestra and an entirely new way to experience your favorite holiday songs. As a special bonus for this year's performance, The Newton Theatre is offering discounts on group tickets for families and organizations; every order of $150 or more receives $10 off, automatically applied at checkout.
