(BETHEL WOODS, NY) -- For those who love their hard hitting rock music to be mixed with showmanship and pyrotechnics, the latest Shinedown tour, ATTENTION ATTENTION, titled after their latest chart-topping album release, is certainly worth every bit of yours.  The group’s latest production, out now via Atlantic Records, simultaneously hit #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative albums charts, and also debuted in the top 5 on the Billboard 200. ATTENTION ATTENTION also spawned the recent #1 Active Rock hits “Monsters”and “Devil”, plus the rousing track “The Human Radio”, in addition to “Get Up”.

The latest stop of this multiplatinum, record setting band’s world tour at the historic Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on July 5th was both a fierce and energetic blend of their hits both old and new, as well as a sampling of some fantastic music from three different opener acts from California and across the pond in the UK.

Broken Hands was the first act to hit the stage and the sound, harmony, and sync of this five piece group was just spot on and thoroughly pleasant and entertaining to listen to.  It is worth noting that their live performance outshone anything that came from their recorded songs, which is reminiscent of bands with more experience on these bigger stages.  So whether or not you are familiar with this new band fresh from the UK, it might be worth ending the parking lot tailgate party early to give them a listen.

The second act, a three piece band also from the UK, Dinosaur Pile-Up, rocked the audience with their lively and energetic sound, while the third act, Bad Flower, added even more energy with a combination of their exuberance and hard rocking tracks, some of which included outstanding bass guitar work by bassist Alex Espiritu.

Finally, the night was wrought with keen anticipation by the thousands of diehard Shinedown fans in attendance as a white curtain was drawn preventing any preview of the stage set up for the record setting band they came to see.  Shinedown did not disappoint, either, when they opened their show with the use of heart stopping pyrotechnics during their thrilling performance of their most current #1 hit, “Monsters” from their latest chart topping album.

The dynamic energy and the showmanship they brought to the stage kept their devoted fans on their feet, singing along and cheering the entire night as the band moved effortlessly from one hit to the next.  The comfort level and confidence that this seasoned group exuded in front of all the cheering throngs allowed them to engage, connect with, and thrill their fans.  To the whimsy of the masses that packed the lawn seats at the rear of the venue, the band had four smaller, single performer stages set up out in the stadium, closer to the lawn seats, so it didn’t matter where you sat, every fan that turned up to rock out had an opportunity to enjoy an up-close and personal performance by this dynamic, powerful, and amazing band.

Their world tour continues throughout the summer with appearances in Canada and across the US, but Shinedown returns to Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September 21, with other dates for shows in nearby Pennsylvania and New York.  Shinedown’s ATTENTION ATTENTION is definitely a must see show you won’t want to miss.
