(RAHWAY, NJ) -- Roller derby is back this fall...with a vengeance. On September 13, 2014 the Garden State Rollergirls' rival home teams, the Northern Nightmares vs. Jersey City Bridge & Pummel, will go head to head in a fight to claim this season's final bragging rights on as part of a double header bout at The Center Circle, 1255 Main Street, Rahway, NJ.
Last time the teams battled, the Nightmares took the win in a thriller of a game that left fans on the edge of their seats. Will the Bridge & Pummel batter their way to victory in this final matchup of the 2014 season, or will the Nightmares make their opponents wish it were all a bad dream? You'll have to be there to find out — this is a showdown that can't be missed!
Doors open at 6 P.M. and the double header action begins at 7 P.M. with a matchup between The Jersey Juniors Roller Derby vs. The Pittsburgh Derby Brats. Watch these 8-17 year old girls show their athletic abilities and teamwork skills before the Garden State Rollergirls take the track in Game 2.
This event is open to all ages. Tickets can be purchased at the door ($15 for adults, $10 for kids under 12), online ($10 for adults, $5 for kids under 12) or from your favorite rollergirl.
About Garden State Rollergirls
The Garden State Rollergirls are New Jersey's premier all-women flat track roller derby league, consisting of approximately 30 skaters representing Hudson, Union, Middlesex, and Bergen counties. The league consists of two traveling teams, the all-star Ironbound Maidens and the B-team, the Brick City Bruisers. In addition, there are two home teams, the Northern Nightmares and the Jersey City Bridge and Pummel, who bout against each other throughout the season.
