ROCK ON! This Week's Sound Bites...3/5/15

The Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival is coming to Convention Hall on March 20 and 21 with three sessions and some great entertainment!
 
The 2015 version is the tenth anniversary of this sudsy event and this year's will be one of the largest to date. With more than 1,000 different beers from 150 different brewing companies, interactive stations such as "life size beer pong, pop-up jam band space, state-of-the-art "March Madness" viewing area and culinary offerings" from local restaurants and beverage places to occupy one's time over a more than 24 hour period.
 
The three "Sessions" kick off with "Session 1" beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday March 20 featuring the music of Long Island's Taking Back Sunday, Philly's The Menzingers and letlive all the way from Los Angeles.
 
"Session 2" kicks off at 12 noon on Saturday March 21 and features Memphis, TN recording artists Lucero, another Tennessee group from Nashville called Future Thieves and South Jersey's Solus Rex.
 
"Session 3" is also on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. and features North Jersey band Wyland, West Berlin, NJ rockers No Risk and national touring act Everclear. "We are very excited to do this," says vocalist and front man Ryan Sloan of Wyland. "When we reached out to the people here at the Atlantic City Beer Festival we never expected a yes; we just thought we'd take a shot and I am glad we did!"
 
With a three song and a recent six song EP to their credit, Wyland is getting ready to launch their "Get Off Your Feet" Tour on March 13 in Baltimore, MD. A show in Nashville is followed by six shows in two days as the band heads to the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX before returning to the area for the Beer Fest. show.
 
Tickets for the Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival are $55 in advance and include the tastings and all entertainment and can be found at www.ticketmaster.com  or $60 at the door.

North Jersey Blues Society to Hold Artist Emergency Relief Fundraiser at The Stanhope House

(STANHOPE, NJ) -- The North Jersey Blues Society (NJBS) is excited to announce the Artist Emergency Relief Fundraiser. NJBS has established an Artist Emergency Relief Fund (AERF) to assist artists in need. This fund is specifically designed to support NJBS artists who find themselves in crisis situations. Currently, the fund's balance is $1,400, generated through the sale of an NJBS compilation CD. Their goal is to double this amount during a fundraiser on June 8, 2025 at The Stanhope House.
