Noyes Hosts Panel On Climate Change

(OCEANVILLE, NJ) -- Five distinguished panelists will discuss climate change on Thursday, September 10 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at The Noyes Museum of Art.  The panel includes prominent journalists from Time Magazine and the New York Times, as well as scientists and artists. Admission is free.

The catalyst for the discussion is the Noyes Museum's exhibition Frozen Earth: Images from the Arctic Circle. Featuring the works of artists from a 2013 Arctic Circle expedition, Frozen Earth offers a glimpse into how the changing environment of the northern extremes of our planet inspired artists to explore central issues of our time.

Panelists include:

Michael Lemonick - Journalist for TIME magazine for nearly 21 years, where he wrote more than 50 cover stories, covering science and the environment. Also writer for Discover, Scientific American, Wired, New Scientist, The Washington Post and National Geographic.

Andrew Revkin - Staff reporter at The New York Times from 1995 to 2009, he has covered science and the environment for 30 years in newspapers, magazines, books, documentaries and in his NY Times blog, Dot Earth, winning the country's top science journalism awards multiple times. He has written acclaimed books on global warming, the changing Arctic and the fight to save the Amazon rain forest.
