New Jersey Stage Magazine Releases First Issue Of 2015

originally published: 01/23/2015
(BELMAR, NJ) — Month after month, New Jersey Stage magazine puts a spotlight on the Garden State's vibrant arts scene. With the use of audio and video, the magazine's pages literally come alive and provide the story behind the story letting readers experience the arts as never before. The January 2015 issue is available for free at www.NJArtsMag.com and can be read on any PC, tablet, or smart phone.

Inside this issue, Gary Wien interviews Bob Gruen, the legendary rock and roll photographer whose work is currently on display at Art629 Gallery in Asbury Park. Wien also speaks with the directors of the independent films Wildlike, Fur Peace Ranch: It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This, and Riot on the Dance Floor: The story of Randy Now and City Gardens. All three films are being screened at the New Jersey Film Festival in New Brunswick; Dw Dunphy talks with Alix Spiegel and Lulu Miller about their new radio show on NPR and with Alan Parsons who is coming to The Newton Theatre; Eric Hillis reviews American Sniper and Black Sea; and Rich and Laura Lynch take a look at new releases by Dennis DeYoung, Richard Furay, Sweet & Lynch, and Szygy.

The cover story is a look at The Gun Show by Ellen Lewis, a new play being presented at Passage Theatre in Trenton, which approaches the gun issue from both sides. New Jersey Stage also speaks with Laura Ekstrand about Dreamcatcher Repertory's production of The Most Deserving.

Jersey Shore musician Karen Mansfield talks about her long-awaited debut record; Jerzy Jung's "Alibi" is the featured music video of the month; Geno & The Jukebox provide an original song for Valentine's Day; and Rosemary Conte offers some jokes about musicians.

In just six months, New Jersey Stage has become a favorite of arts fans throughout the state while arts organizations are loving the magazine's affordable ad rates. New Jersey Stage offers a combination of magazine and website advertising packages for less than $100 — perfect for the tight budgets of many arts organizations and great for reaching the ever-growing segment of mobile users.

All issues of New Jersey Stage are available for free at http://www.njartsmag.com. The magazine can also be downloaded and read offline.
